This project is bridge 22 on the Southwest Calgary Ring Road. The bridge has four lanes and spans 258 meters over Fish Creek including four Y-shaped piers with hammerhead pier caps. CWP’s scope of work for this project consisted of the substructure construction which required 2,500 m3 of concrete. The project involved the installation of associated wood and steel formwork, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement for both abutments and all piers. Working together with the client and accommodating their work in and around the site was key to the success of this project.
