The Albert Canyon project for BCMOTI is CWP’s largest project to date ($12.3M) and is located on the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 34km East of Revelstoke, BC. This project consists of installing a detour bridge over the Illecillewaet River, detour road, bridge rehabilitation and steel bin wall rehabilitation. The detour bridge supplied by Acrow was assembled onsite and cantilever launched over the river. The detour bridge and road will be removed at the end of the project once the bridge rehabilitation is complete. The bridge rehabilitation scope of work includes the reconstruction of the concrete overhangs, new parapets, bicycle railing, bridge deck repairs, bridge deck concrete overlay, deck joints, approach paving, bearing replacements, and substructure steel re-coating. The bin wall rehabilitation scope of work includes rock anchoring, shotcrete and a cast-in-place concrete retaining wall.
