CWP Constructors Ltd. is completing the Wilson Creek Bridge Rehabilitation project near Sparwood, British Columbia, for the Ministry of Transportation and Transit (BCMoTT). The $2.5 million project includes replacement of the bridge deck and superstructure, parapets, drainage systems, waterproofing, asphalt paving, deck joints, parapet rails, and bicycle safety fencing.
Construction is being completed under single-lane alternating traffic on a critical transportation corridor serving Elk Valley Resources’ mining operations, requiring careful staging to accommodate oversize and wide-load traffic. Extensive environmental protection measures, including daily monitoring, are being implemented throughout construction.
Upon completion, the rehabilitation will extend the service life of the structure and support the continued safe movement of both public and industrial traffic.
